If you can’t pickup, and wondering if you’re still able to bring a Chinchillas from ChinTrills home. The answer is yes we have indeed placed our Chinchillas in homes around the country. You will find great value in the information on this page, but since there is a lot of it, here is a very simplified summary (scroll down for more details):
Our Air Transport option does not arrive at your home. Your critter will need to be collected from the destination airport.
Ground Transport doesn’t leave our house and straight to yours. Routes usually include deliveries along the way, so your patience is expected.
Transport is totally safe. Your critter will be cared for during the trip just as it would if it were still in our care.
Ground Transporation Services Available Nationwide!
With our partnerships with several ground transportation companies, ChinTrills can arrange to have your new baby delivered to your location for as little as $80 (in addition to the animal’s cost). Although there are differences between the various transport routes, we collaborate with you to identify the transport group that best suits your needs in terms of both cost and time.
In general, transporters follow set routes that are designed to accommodate the animals they are moving. We get in touch with our transporter as soon as you place your purchase to inquire about the potential timing of the next known route and to add your pet to the list. Your contact information and delivery address are given to the shipper when they pick up your pet from us they will get in touch with you to let you know when they are expected to be in your home address. Although scheduling can take some time, we will always acquire your approval before sending your Chinchilla by any mode of transportation, so you don’t have to worry about your baby showing up before you are ready.

Flexible: The shipping agency drivers might have to deal with traffic, weather, and other unforeseen obstacles to bring your Chinchilla to you. Your understanding and flexibility are crucial, as the delivery time may need to change between the time they pick up from ChinTrills, and the time they arrive at your city and home address.
Courteous: Our first and foremost priority here at ChinTrills is the health, safety, and happiness of the Chinchillas we are placing in homes across the country. We would never place our Chinchilla in the care of someone, even temporarily, if we felt that they would be placed in any kind of danger. Therefore we expect our ChinTrills families to trust our judgment, and understand that if we are comfortable with a given transport option, you can be also. If you have any questions or concerns about this method of travel, please do not hesitate to reach out. Airline Travel available Nationwide!
ChinTrills Air transportation uses the safest and must reliable air travel programs, and we can ship almost anywhere withing USA and Canada. While weather restrictions do apply, we will work our hardest to ensure your new family member has the smoothest and safest flight.
PLEASE NOTE: For the safety of your Chinchilla temperatures MUST be below 85 degrees and above 30 degrees at the time & location of departure and arrival (including any connections/layovers). These restrictions may cause us to have to schedule late arrivals, watch the weather closely, and possibly change flights, times, and even days if the weather becomes unpredictable.
